Rachel Benavides

Rachel Benavides studied photography at the University of North Texas. Shortly after graduation, Rachel moved to New York where she began working in the fashion industry producing photoshoots. After 5 amazing years in the city that never sleeps, Rachel moved to Nashville to photograph product for a jewelry designer. Dallas called her back to photograph more product, this time for a luxury boutique. 

Rachel began working at HKS Architects full time as the Photography Manager in 2017. Learning more about architecture, space and balance from her designer colleagues, Rachel strengthened her ability to capture people, places and product. 

Rachel resigned from her role at HKS in summer of 2023 and is now taking photo opportunities as they come.

Rachel is a Dallas(ish) native, born in Dallas, raised in Garland. While living in New York, Rachel trained at the Peoples Improv Theatre and performed comedy around the city. She started doing stand up in Dallas in January of 2020 and, as you can imagine, didn't take off. 

Rachel married Jesse in the fall of 2018. They live in East Dallas with their two handsome boys and one precious girl. They all attend Christ City Church, Dallas (some more willing than others). 

When she isn't playing mediator to toddler squabbles, Rachel takes photos, attempts to keep plants alive and plans to go to the gym.
